Samsung challenged us to come up with a training program to educate the Verizon salesforce about the new features of their new flagship Galaxy S10 phone.

In order to excite reps about the new phone, while hopefully turning them into brand advocates in the process, we turned a typical device training session into a fun, engaging experience to be remembered.

Inspired by the phone’s oversized display Samsung calls the infinity screen, we rolled out the red carpet and welcomed reps across the country to a one-of-a-kind event: the Infinity Screening Film Festival.

The campaign later won 3 global ACE awards, including Best in Show.

With over 3,000 sales staff trained in the week leading up to the launch of the Galaxy S10, the Infinity Screening Film Festival training program made the S10 the most successful Samsung launch in partnership with Verizon, ever.

Marquee events were held in real iconic theaters across the country.

Once inside, original movie posters got them excited about the films they were about to watch. Candy, popcorn, and snacks - also named and inspired by S10 features - were on hand for reps as they settled in.

For the main attraction, we teamed up with YouTube superstar Bad Lip Reading to create a series of short films that illustrated different key features of the Galaxy S10: A scary movie about the horror of running out of battery. A romance about falling in love with a camera. And so on.

Following the screening of the films, master trainers brought the reps to movie-themed rooms where they had training sessions with hands-on demos and developed their sales skills.

To finish the training on a high note, we awarded the best-performing reps with an “Oscar” - a custom gold phone holder - to display their phones back at their store.

All of the leave-behind elements continued to educate sale reps with feature-inspired copy and QR codes driving to additional online training content. We sent kits with the films, posters, and all snacks, for those who couldn't attend at Verizon stores around the country.
